Where on earth to start, and how AI can help. Masterclass, 8 December. Register

Your review is argued in a room you are not in.

Whoever argues it needs evidence. The Optionality Vault is where you keep it: ten minutes a month, what you did and what came of it, ready for your review or your next role.

Why I built it

People struggle to articulate the value they really bring to the table. In a review, an interview or a first client conversation, they reach for their job title. A title says where you sat. It does not say what you did, or what changed because of it.

So the vault is about the work you do, not your job title. Ten minutes a month, whilst it’s fresh in your head, and when somebody asks what you bring, the answer is already written down.

The work was done. Nobody wrote it down.

I was Head of Technology HR at Credit Suisse, then technology reward at UBS, where I sat in the rooms where reviews get argued. The case that lands is the one with specific examples: what was going on, what had to change, what the person did, and what it delivered.

The examples exist. By December, the detail has gone: the number, the deadline, the problem you fixed in March. So you walk into your review, or an interview, describing your year in adjectives.

The Optionality Vault fixes that one month at a time.

What you do each month

  • Say how you feel about your goal. One tap.
  • Reach out to one person. From a list you build once: people you clicked with, worked well with, or lost touch with.
  • Take one step on your goal. Your 12-month goal, broken into steps you set yourself.
  • Write your month. How it went and the key points to remember. This tracks your progress.
  • Add your achievements. One at a time, as many as you like, the day they happen if you want: the situation, the outcome needed, what you did, and the result, with a number if you have one. This is your evidence.

What you get

  • Email reminds you each month to fill it in.
  • 10 minutes each month.
  • Micro lessons and tips to help you reach your goal.
  • Each achievement checked against SOAR, with one question when something is missing.
  • Your case whenever you need it, built from your achievements: each part rated, where it is weakest, and one thing to do this month. Download it as a PDF.
  • Automated quarterly report to show what's working, where you should focus, and achievements you have not added yet.
  • Option to work with Lisa directly for an additional fee.

Before a review, the case is your promotion case. Before an interview, your stories for the next role. Your own words, quoted, never rewritten. Thinking about going solo instead? What would people pay me for? reads your record and suggests three offers to test.

Who this is not for

Not for somebody who needs a new job next month. This is a record that gets stronger every month. If you need a decision this week, that is a Decision Call.

Not for somebody who wants it done for them. The vault asks the questions and builds the drafts. The answers are yours to write.

Not for salary benchmarks or legal advice. It will not tell you what you should be paid or what your contract means. If the answer needs somebody qualified in your country, get one.

Your record is yours

Stored in Switzerland. Your feedback, your case and your quarterly report are written by an AI provider outside Switzerland, and your words are not used to train its models. Download all of it as a PDF, or delete all of it, any time.
